Les pralinés – pour tous
Vom 18.
From July 18 to September 14, 2025, a space for art, design, exchange, and collaborative creation took shape at Frobenstrasse 41 in Basel.
“Les pralinés – pour tous” was a temporary cultural project that brought together exhibitions, pop-ups, workshops, readings, and playful events, accessible and vibrant.
Supported by around 50 contributors from the fields of art, design, and organization, the project created a platform for young, non-established creatives who wanted to experiment, connect, and gain visibility.
At its core were collective responsibility, low-barrier participation, and creative initiative.
Whether it was cheap fine dining, cocktails at an exhibition, or “Paint me a flower and get a coffee”, the program invited everyone to join in and linger.

About us
The name of our project draws on the history of the place: the premises once housed the shop of a chocolate factory that stood behind the building. We pick up this story and carry it forward, in a broader sense:
For us, pralines stand not only for sweet delicacies, but symbolically for the beautiful, the special, the enjoyable. Our aim is to make such special moments, experiences, and content accessible to everyone, rather than reserving them for a privileged few.
The project is carried by around 50 co-creators who engage in a wide range of roles: from art, design, and curation to graphics, communication, and technical work, as well as photography, gastronomy, and organization. We are artists, designers, jewelry makers, and creative organizers. Most of us live, study, or work in the Basel region.
Together, we are shaping a self-curated space as a learning field and a platform for new ideas. We develop content, design the visual identity, take care of installation, lighting, and sound, document the project photographically, create culinary formats, and coordinate processes. Conceptual impulses and the further development of the project also emerge from this shared commitment.
Our actions are based on voluntary participation, personal initiative, and collective responsibility.
We all look forward to your visit, and to you becoming part of this project.

badtime happiness
22.08 - 27.08
badtime happinessa proposition by Ana Jikia @water_nap
and a little talk with the rabbit @pat.homse
"In reality where material and financial guarantees and abundance is the only way to create a sense of stability, the ones who's access is intentionally limited to the most basic material needs feel profoundly lost and excluded. So against notions and models that make me feel powerless and miserable I want to take back my power and take charge of what my life meant to look like.
I look at experiences of scarcity, lack, and deficiency.
And question what those experiences really did to me?
How do I feel as someone who is inherently underprivileged? Do I really feel that bad? Can I feel good while feeling bad? Can I feel good and empowered while being poor, hungry and illegal? Who gets to say what experience of crisis does to me?"
