Les pralinés – pour tous

Vom 18.

From July 18 to September 14, 2025, a space for art, design, exchange, and collaborative creation took shape at Frobenstrasse 41 in Basel.
“Les pralinés – pour tous” was a temporary cultural project that brought together exhibitions, pop-ups, workshops, readings, and playful events, accessible and vibrant.

Supported by around 50 contributors from the fields of art, design, and organization, the project created a platform for young, non-established creatives who wanted to experiment, connect, and gain visibility.
At its core were collective responsibility, low-barrier participation, and creative initiative.

Whether it was cheap fine dining, cocktails at an exhibition, or “Paint me a flower and get a coffee”, the program invited everyone to join in and linger.

About us
The name of our project draws on the history of the place: the premises once housed the shop of a chocolate factory that stood behind the building. We pick up this story and carry it forward, in a broader sense:
For us, pralines stand not only for sweet delicacies, but symbolically for the beautiful, the special, the enjoyable. Our aim is to make such special moments, experiences, and content accessible to everyone, rather than reserving them for a privileged few.

The project is carried by around 50 co-creators who engage in a wide range of roles: from art, design, and curation to graphics, communication, and technical work, as well as photography, gastronomy, and organization. We are artists, designers, jewelry makers, and creative organizers. Most of us live, study, or work in the Basel region.

Together, we are shaping a self-curated space as a learning field and a platform for new ideas. We develop content, design the visual identity, take care of installation, lighting, and sound, document the project photographically, create culinary formats, and coordinate processes. Conceptual impulses and the further development of the project also emerge from this shared commitment.

Our actions are based on voluntary participation, personal initiative, and collective responsibility.

We all look forward to your visit, and to you becoming part of this project.

Infinity

Infinity
18.7 - 23.7 2025

Olivia Vidovic (b. 1999) is currently studying Fine Arts at the Institute of Art at the HGK in Basel. Born and raised in Copenhagen, she made her way to Basel via the Lunga arts programme in Iceland. As an artist, she works with printmaking, publishing, drawing, video, and sculptural assemblages. Her primary interest lies in spatial situations. In connection with this, she also curates and co-runs the student exhibition space Sincerely.

For the upcoming exhibition infinity at Les Pralinés, which she is curating, she has invited three artists:
Nicola Spycher, a Swiss artist based in Basel, whose work revolves around found materials, labor-intensive studio processes, and the concept of erasure.
Selina Camenzind, also a Swiss artist based in Basel, often engages with an inversion of relics and tilts their performative aspects. Her work is drawn to the ambivalence of traditions and femininity.
Sophia Cole, an American artist based in Reykjavík, works across media with a strange and tender sense of narration. Mainly focused on writing, photography, and filmmaking, her work carries a clear sense of whimsy and sensitivity.

In the exhibition, Nicola will present prints, drawings, and a projection. Sophia will show approximately three video works and a publication. Selina will contribute a spatial gesture related to choreography.

18.7 - 23.7 2025

Olivia Vidovic (geb.
